Sixteen Days And Counting: I'm So Silly!

I saw this on another blogger's page- I can't remember who because my brain is Swiss Cheese (I caught it from you, Irene!) but ever since I saw it I look at it like once a day and laugh like it's the funniest thing on the planet:

Just like that time Irene, C and I were coming home from his stint at a comedy club and we saw this salad container on the hood of a car... and I FELL OUT LAUGHING! Till this day I think about that salad container and tears automatically fall down my face I'm laughing so hard!

There was nothing spectacular about the half-eaten salad in a plastic container, but hell if I wasn't doubled over in hysterics! I guess it's one of those, "you had to be there" deals, huh? I can't remember, were we drinking that night???

Or, the time, as freshmen at Alfred, Celia and I and all of our crazy Openhymers decided that it would be really really funny to steal shit. She started it with that mailbox (that we later found out belonged to Megan's family's friend), and then I decided that we needed drapes in our room so I snagged some from the dining hall, and then we both decided that what the room REALLY NEEDED was to have incoherent nonsense SPRAY-PAINTED on the ceiling tiles. They didn't call us The Rowdy Girls for nothin'!

Or, more recently, the time Deb and I partook of some grown folk "stuff" in her basement after her thesis lecture, and proceeded to act like straight fools on the car ride to the NJ Transit train station. Now take a minute, close your eyes, and picture me alone on the train, headed to one of my jump-offs' spots in Jersey City, laughing to myself like one of those homeless crazies that ride the NYC subways, and you have the complete story.

Not that I *always* need chemical help to be silly (just ask my kids, or better yet, the Queen of Silly Nonsense, Mari), but those are usually the best episodes of Jaded Lunacy.

I suppose I just subscribe to the theory that laughter is the best medicine... especially in the absence of BLEEP.

*smooches...indulging the 5yr-old that lives inside my head*

but I mean, look at that comic and tell me it's not the funniest shit you've seen today?!?!
